Harold and Betty Pontious
Mr. Pontious is a graduate of Huntington College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. After college, he served in the U.S. Navy for the next four years. During his career, he recieved many awards and accolades for his acheivements in real estate, and for his service in local clubs and organizations. Mr. Pontious has been involved with Warner from its early beginnings. He has been honored by the University with its Founder's Award and has been named a Champion of Higher Independent Education in Florida. He has served on Warner's board from 1977-1987.
His wife Betty also attended Huntington College. She has received awards in real estate and has served on many boards with the Church of God. She has served as a Sunday school teacher as well as a youth counselor. Betty is a long time friend of the University, serving as an advisory board member to the Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees of Warner Southern College proudly awarded Honorary Doctorate degrees to Harold and Betty Pontious of Lake Wales, Florida. The Doctors, Harold and Betty Pontious, have been leaders of the community, in the field of business, for many years; especially in real estate.
President Gregory Hall stated, "Warner Southern College Board of Trustees recognizes the generous commitment of Harold and Betty Pontious to the college, to society, and to the church." He went on to say, "Warner Southern College feels blessed to have 'partners in ministry' like Harold and Betty Pontious."
